Mammatus clouds are cool. I saw these after a thunderstorm at the Badlands back in 2018.

Looks like mini marshmallows on top of sweet potatoes (just the wrong color).

I’ve never been a fan of sweet potatoes, maybe because they were always served to me with marshmallows on top. But yes, they do. The etymology of “mammatus” is also interesting....

First time I remember seeing mammatus clouds was from one of the most intense non-hurricane storms I had ever experienced.

Both were taken from my backyard when I lived in Florida ...oh I dunno...14 years ago?

Wow!! That’s awesome.  This was a serious thunderstorm, but was mostly sheet lightning near us, unfortunately.
